I consider myself a pretty avid horror watcher, and too much lately I've seen the trend that the monster in the movie is revealed too early, or it doesn't kill anybody in a timely manner (I think a kill every ten minutes is probably pushing it in terms of how long you should go between character deaths in a movie like Clown), or the monster just isn't scary.
